The awards ceremony, held at the Palau Robert in Barcelona, recognized products and services designed and manufactured in Catalonia that stand out for their innovation, sustainability, and environmental efficiency throughout their entire life cycle.

Panot del Segle XXI: a pavement that evolves with the city
The Panot del Segle XXI represents the redesign of Barcelona’s emblematic paving stone, intended to adapt to the urban challenges of contemporary cities. This proposal combines innovation, functionality, and sustainability, aligning with circular economy principles and carbon footprint reduction.
Its optimized composition integrates up to 40% recycled aggregates and reusable materials, significantly decreasing CO₂ emissions and promoting resource reuse. Thanks to its flexible laying system, each piece can be installed and removed without damage, extending its service life and closing the usage cycle.

In addition to the awards ceremony, Breinco actively participated with the Panot del Segle XXI in the “ADI Making Of… Ecodisseny 2025” seminar, a series of conferences organized by ADI-FAD to showcase projects that address materials, products, and processes by uniting design, sustainability, and innovation.
The seminar offered a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and demonstrate how the Panot del Segle XXI applies ecodesign criteria from conception to production, while providing a first-hand look at the award-winning projects of this 6th edition of the Premi Catalunya d’Ecodisseny.
