Intervention at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona – 1899, one of the city’s most emblematic sporting institutions and host of the prestigious Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell – Trofeo Conde de Godó. Founded in 1899 and located in the Pedralbes neighborhood, the club combines tradition, sporting excellence, and world-class facilities.
The project focuses on the adaptation and improvement of the club’s outdoor spaces, catering to the various daily uses of members, athletes, and visitors. For the paving, Tegula® light in color desierto has been used, a material that guarantees resistance, durability, and a harmonious integration with the surroundings.
The intervention organizes and connects play areas for children, resting areas, waiting spaces, circulation paths, and facilities, facilitating clear and accessible routes within the sports complex. The paving contributes to organizing the site and creating comfortable, functional, and visually coherent spaces.
These interventions are integrated into a club that features 20 tennis courts —18 of which are clay, considered by many professional players to be the best clay courts in the world—, padel courts, a Wellness Center, an indoor court, a restaurant, social areas, and parking zones.
The result is a carefully designed and versatile outdoor environment that accompanies the club’s intense sporting and social activity, respecting its historical identity and reinforcing the experience of using world-class reference facilities.
