The rehabilitation project for the outdoor areas of El Corte Inglés in Girona aimed to transform the access, circulation, and seating areas into a more organized, elegant, and functional environment. The intervention places special emphasis on the user experience, combining pedestrian traffic with seating spaces while maintaining harmony with the existing urban landscape.
To achieve this, Gran Llosa Vulcano® has been incorporated—a large-format pavement that provides visual continuity and a uniform finish across the entire outdoor surface. The layout of the pieces allows for comfortable and safe transit, adapting to both pedestrians and occasional light traffic, while guaranteeing durability, resistance, and simple maintenance.
The result is a modern and welcoming outdoor space that enhances the building’s presence and improves the daily experience of those who access it.
