The project for the Museum Etnològic Molí de Dalt in Sant Lluís, Menorca, focuses on the improvement and reorganization of the outdoor spaces surrounding this important cultural facility, integrating pedestrian circulation, public squares, and transit lanes for vehicles without altering the historical and landscape identity of the surroundings. The main objective has been to create an accessible and comfortable space that connects the museum with its urban and natural context, respecting the typology and scale of the historic center of Sant Lluís.

To achieve this, a combination of paving solutions has been incorporated to meet different uses and needs. In the streets and vehicle traffic zones, Tegula®-tec has been installed—a paver that ensures stability against heavy loads and frequent maneuvering, preventing horizontal displacement, rotation of the pieces, or deformations, thus guaranteeing a durable and safe pavement. Meanwhile, the squares and pedestrian areas have been paved with Llosa Vulcano®, a high-resistance chromatic piece that provides visual continuity, elegance, and comfort for visitors.

This combination of solutions allows for a clear differentiation between vehicle traffic zones and pedestrian seating areas, integrating harmoniously with the historical landscape and the museum’s surroundings. The result is a project that enhances the visitor experience, promotes accessibility, and creates an attractive, functional, and highly aesthetic outdoor environment, consistent with the memory and identity of Sant Lluís.
