After more than a century of history, the panot must meet the demands of the 21st century, which is why Breinco presents a sustainable redesign of the panot, based on circular economy principles and a reduced carbon footprint.
This sustainable redesign is grounded in the material composition, the manufacturing process, reuse and recyclability, and its flexible, drainage-friendly installation system.
Breinco’s Winning Proposal
In the 2022 Panot del S.XXI challenge competition, Breinco aims to solve all the needs of a modern urban street, such as those of a street with traffic, a drainage area, and a pedestrian sidewalk zone.

The SRI value makes it possible to classify a surface finish according to its ability to help mitigate the urban heat island effect. Dark surfaces that absorb and retain heat should be avoided, while lighter-coloured surfaces are recommended.
