Flexible

The flexible system consists of installing pavements with gravel over granular bases, enabling fast and sustainable installation.

  1. Edge restraint
    A paving system made of pavers must always be bounded by rigid edge restraints to prevent horizontal displacement.
  2. Base layer and subbase layer
    Crushed aggregate subbase compacted to 98% Modified Proctor. Its thickness will depend on traffic loads and the bearing capacity of the subgrade.
  3. Subgrade
    Existing natural soil compacted beforehand.
  4. Joint filling
    Washed sand 0–2 mm or polymeric sand
    DR PLUS or CITYPRO.
  5. Bedding layer
    2–6 mm gravel

Flexible permeable

The flexible installation allows us to design permeable solutions that facilitate rainwater infiltration into the subsoil. This system is based on the installation of drainage pavements over a gravel bedding layer, placed on top of a gravel base.

Hybrid installation

Raised paving

Ideal for walkable roofs, terraces and pool areas

The floating installation system allows slabs to be installed raised above ground level through the use of modular supports known as plots or pedestals.
These plots or pedestals offer high compressive strength, are weather-resistant, reusable and recyclable. They are available as fixed supports from 6 mm in height or adjustable systems ranging from 10 mm up to 1000 mm, and can be used on surfaces with slopes of up to 5%.

Ferrater Brick for 9,5 cm thickness

Ferrater brick 45×9.5×4 cm is comparable to a mechanically fixed discontinuous cladding. Therefore, a two-leaf façade solution is proposed, with a non-ventilated air cavity, and an inner leaf meeting the minimum requirements to function as the “main leaf”.

We will clad the vertical surface with a slab using mechanical fixings to ensure secure attachment.

Superstep® Versatility

The great installation versatility of the Superstep® allows us to address multiple details of the same project with a single unit, accommodating different requirements and uses.

The primary function of the Superstep® is to form exterior staircases (Drawing A). When placed horizontally, like a railway sleeper, the Superstep® can be alternated with grass areas to create a pedestrian walkway (Drawing B).

We can also stack one unit on top of another to gain height and create a small gravity wall that retains soil while simultaneously serving as a bench (Drawing C).

Superstep®

The Superstep® offers exceptional flatness and orthogonality of its faces, allowing the units to be placed edge-to-edge without jointing, minimizing the thickness of the vertical joint. This ensures a continuous horizontal appearance. Installation is fast and cost-effective.

Mechanical lifting devices will be used to facilitate the handling and placement of the Superstep®. In urbanization projects, corners or curves often appear. In these cases, the Superstep® must be cut on-site using a template on a cutting table located away from the pavement.

Kerbs

A solid concrete foundation is essential to support the kerb.

It must be able to distribute and transfer vehicle wheel loads to the supporting layer without subjecting it to excessive stress.

In addition, the foundation must withstand any shear forces induced by vehicle overloading.

Reinforced earth walls are built using layers of fill material with reinforcing elements (geogrids) interspersed between them.The visible front face is composed of split-faced units, joined together without mortar thanks to their specific geometry.

A retaining wall that relies solely on its own weight is called a gravity wall. This type of wall can reach up to 1 meter in height on sandy soils without additional reinforcement. When the dimensions or soil conditions exceed this capacity, geogrid is incorporated to provide the necessary strength and stability.

Geogrid is a high-tensile synthetic material, specifically designed to stabilize the soil and ensure the structural safety of the wall system.
