Casa Alonso-Planas House, located in Barcelona, is set on a trapezoidal plot with a pronounced slope, overcoming a 16-meter difference between the entrance level and the upper part of the site. From its elevated position, the residence enjoys exceptional views of the two valleys, the city of Barcelona, and the Llobregat delta, with the sea as a distant backdrop.

The project positions the main volume at the upper level, oriented perpendicular to the contour lines to optimize sunlight and panoramic views. This slender, elongated structure is organized over three levels, accommodating the family program while establishing a direct relationship with the outdoor spaces: a plaza–patio with pool and solarium at the front, and a series of landscaped terraces at the rear.

The house rests on a base excavated into the hillside, which houses the entrances, parking, technical spaces, and art studios, illuminated by a large horizontal opening that visually connects with the upper patio. Access is achieved via a gently ascending path integrated into the landscape, leading to a carefully sequenced entry area.

In terms of materials, the project combines exposed concrete with pressed white brick walls, creating a sober and timeless aesthetic. The use of Ferrater Brick with White Marbre finish enhances the architectural expression of the residence, providing texture, luminosity, and a refined definition of the façades.

The result is a home that harmoniously integrates architecture, topography, and landscape, resolving its complex site with technical precision and spatial sensitivity.
