Located in the heart of the Costa Brava, the nautical port of l\u2019Estartit has established itself as a benchmark in sustainability and environmental efficiency. The project, developed by the Aspecte Paisatge studio (Martiri\u00e0 Figueres i Feixas), transforms this coastal enclave into a modern infrastructure, prioritizing accessibility, functionality, and integration with the natural environment.<\/p>\n\n
The intervention covers the renovation of the port facilities, including the construction of the new Garb\u00ed breakwater and the reconfiguration of the pedestrian access at the foot of the vessels. For the walkways and seating areas, AirClean\u00ae photocatalytic paving was incorporated in 24 x 16 x 7 cm and 60 x 40 x 7 cm formats, covering a total of 2.000\u202fm\u00b2. This system activates a chemical process with sunlight that transforms nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrates, improving air quality and providing self-cleaning properties that reduce maintenance costs.<\/p>\n\n
Ferrater Brick<\/strong> in White Marble color is integrated into the exterior facades<\/strong>, forming exposed brick walls with virtually invisible vertical joints that reinforce the horizontal nature of the design. Its white tone provides Mediterranean luminosity and, thanks to manufacturing precision, generates a sense of calm and serenity, while its water-repellent, antibacterial, and fireproof properties ensure durability and low maintenance.<\/p>\n\n The project is completed with urban furniture and seating solutions such as benches, planters, and bollards, integrating the paving and architecture into a coherent, accessible, and aesthetically refined space.
