{"id":11850,"date":"2025-11-10T11:02:24","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T10:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.breinco.com\/proyecto\/sants-highline-in-barcelona\/"},"modified":"2026-03-17T12:31:29","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T11:31:29","slug":"sants-highline-in-barcelona","status":"publish","type":"proyecto","link":"https:\/\/breinco.com\/en\/proyecto\/sants-highline-in-barcelona\/","title":{"rendered":"Sants Highline in Barcelona"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>A new elevated green walkway in the Sants neighborhood<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The Sants district incorporates one of the city\u2019s most distinctive urban projects: an elevated landscaped promenade covering the former railway tracks and re-establishing urban continuity on both sides.<\/p>\n\n<p>After years of public debate and neighbourhood mobilisation, the project transformed a former railway infrastructure into a continuous green public space extending over <strong>800 metres in length<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The new <strong>Barcelona High Line<\/strong> elevates its landscaped areas between four and twelve metres above the surrounding streets, forming a linear promenade that incorporates rest areas, children\u2019s play spaces, sports zones and viewing platforms. This intervention enhances air quality, reduces noise levels and returns to local residents a shared public space once dominated by railway activity.<\/p>\n\n<p>For the deck paving, <strong>500 m\u00b2 of concrete paving blocks<\/strong> were installed, manufactured in three tones \u2014 <strong>Ash, Cor-Ten and Black<\/strong> \u2014 adding chromatic depth and visual richness to the overall design.
