Passeig de Sant Joan has established itself as one of the most iconic streets in the world, ranking second on the “The 30 coolest streets in the world” list by Time Out International magazine. Its remodeling has turned the promenade into a benchmark for sustainable urbanism, optimized for pedestrians and cyclists, where the integration of drainage solutions and high-quality pavements contributes to an innovative and environmentally friendly urban experience.<\/p>\n\n
Designed as an urban green corridor, Passeig de Sant Joan combines wide sidewalks, optimized lanes for various vehicles, seasonal vegetation that colors the route, and architectural works of great relevance. The intervention, carried out by architect Lola Dom\u00e8nech Oliva, sought to prioritize pedestrian use, promote active mobility, and strengthen the connection with the city, consolidating the promenade as a space for gathering, rest, and enjoyment.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n Among the key elements of the project are the draining pavements, considered “the soul of the promenade” by outlets such as Wall Street International and valued by the Jardines sin fronteras blog as “an innovative constructive solution that accompanies the eco-efficiency philosophy of the walk.” The paving was carried out using Llosa Vulcano\u00ae<\/strong> in Ash color, installed with the Rasen Mohr\u00ae<\/strong> system, which combines the pavers with biodegradable wood spacers and joints filled with gravel and topsoil, favoring the growth of grass and creating an urban surface that is simultaneously resistant, aesthetic, and sustainable.<\/p>\n\n Llosa Vulcano\u00ae offers versatility, durability, and long-term aesthetic quality, with adaptable formats and colors and two available textures: Standard\u00ae and Top Complete\u00ae.
