Located in the former industrial site of Can Batlló, in the neighborhood of la Bordeta, this community space has established itself as a benchmark for neighborhood management and social activation.
The outdoor square is resolved through a Terana® six concrete pavement, arranged in a concentric circular geometry that structures the space and defines its central character. The system’s modulation and chromatic alternation allow for the articulation of different areas of use, establishing a continuous relationship with the landscaped zones and guaranteeing proper performance against intensive use.
The project is complemented by the Square Puff furniture piece, versatile benches that promote relaxation, social interaction, and informal use of the space. Their sober and contemporary design creates a dialogue with the rehabilitated industrial architecture, offering functional solutions for cultural activities, neighborhood meetings, and moments of rest.
This intervention contributes to consolidating Can Batlló as an active and welcoming public space, where the pavement and urban furniture play a key role in creating durable, high-quality community environments.
