The Plaza del Hostal, located in the municipality of Tona, has undergone a comprehensive remodeling aimed at transforming the space into a contemporary, accessible square designed for the enjoyment of all users. The project incorporates a children’s play area, seating zones, and wide pedestrian paths, creating a dynamic, safe, and welcoming urban environment.
The intervention favors a functional and organized design, where the walkways and transit areas are organized through circular patterns that generate movement and dynamism, facilitating circulation and providing a unique character to the square.
For the paving of the entire surface, Tegula® six has been incorporated—a rectangular paver with a high-quality decorative rustic finish. Its 90º layout and the combination of soft tones create a traditional aesthetic reinterpreted in a contemporary key, providing warmth, visual continuity, and balance to the overall design.
In the inner parts of the circular layouts, Taco Tegula® has been integrated—an 8 × 8 × 6 cm cube designed to segment long surfaces or frame details where cutting larger pieces would otherwise be necessary. Its incorporation allows for the definition of the perimeters of the circular patterns and unique elements, such as manhole covers, ensuring precision, uniformity, and a meticulously crafted aesthetic finish.
El uso conjunto de Tegula® six y Taco Tegula® garantiza un pavimento flexible, híbrido y duradero, ideal para espacios peatonales y zonas de paseo, resolviendo la plaza de manera funcional y visualmente atractiva.
The result is a renovated, vibrant, and versatile public space, where the circular patterns, play areas, and pedestrian routes integrate in harmony, consolidating the square as a key point for meeting, leisure, and community life within Tona.
