Manufacturing processes aligned with our environmental commitment

Our manufacturing processes follow the r+r+r formula. Therefore, all our products can be reused, 100% recycled, and may be made from recovered materials, containing up to 40% recycled aggregates in their composition.

In order to guarantee that our products are manufactured in the most responsible and intelligent way possible, we carefully oversee our production methods, choosing the least polluting technologies and materials.

As a result, we offer sustainable solutions that are designed to improve the quality of life of both citizens and the environment in general.

CERTIFIED COMPANY | ISO 9001 & ISO 14001

At Breinco, we hold the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems certification and, last year, we obtained the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems certification.

The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems standard seeks continuous improvement in service/product quality and ensures compliance with the required quality standards. The ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems standard promotes respect for the environment. Therefore, these two standards reaffirm our commitment to quality and sustainable processes as an essential part of our industrial development.

ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY GUARANTEE LABEL

The Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Government of Catalonia has certified LLOSA VULCANO®, PANOT and RIGOLA with the Environmental Quality Guarantee Label, corresponding to the category of raw materials and recycled aggregate products. This recognition is due to the high percentage of recycled aggregates used in their manufacturing process (up to 40%).

Air clean®: the property that purifies the air

Our commitment to the environment has led us to develop an innovative solution capable of reducing polluting substances in the atmosphere.

air clean® photocatalytic treatments reduce toxic compounds in the atmosphere and help eliminate bacteria and fight germs.

Our paving solutions can incorporate the air clean® property, reducing air pollution through a photocatalytic decontaminating agent. In other words, under the effects of sunlight, they trigger the decomposition of polluting oxides (NOx) into by-products that are removed through rainwater drainage.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

Breinco has obtained Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for “Precast concrete paving and reinforced concrete panels” after analysing the environmental impact of their life cycle at sector level.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is defined as the analysis of all stages of a product, from raw material extraction and processing, production, marketing, transport, use and maintenance, to final management once the product reaches the end of its useful life.

The sum of all material and energy inputs and all waste and emission outputs constitutes the environmental impact of the product.

The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a highly valuable tool that provides transparency regarding the sustainability of a product or service throughout its entire life cycle.

Not only does it demonstrate the reduction of negative environmental impacts, but it also provides the necessary information through harmonised parameters that allow comparisons between products or services on the market that fulfil the same function.

In addition, this certification contributes to obtaining LEED credits for buildings, making BREINCO paving, kerbs and façade slabs attractive products for promoting construction projects based on sustainable and high-efficiency criteria.
