Last August, the new facilities of the Club Nàutic Port d’Aro were officially inaugurated. The new marina features different spaces, including the elegant Members’ Lounge, where an art exhibition can be appreciated, the outdoor area with high landscape value in its gardens and swimming pool, and the terrace, which, in addition to hosting an Asian cuisine restaurant, offers impressive views.
The architectural design of the Club
The new Club Nàutic Port d’Aro is a design-driven space that seeks a harmonious connection with nature, art, sport and leisure.
The renovation of the Club building was carried out by ABX Architecture. The studio, led by Albert Bosch, approached the project with a sustainable focus, including an energy transition plan that made the building more efficient through the installation of solar panels and improved thermal insulation.
In addition, the transformation process of the marina aimed to optimise access, internal functionality and accessibility, becoming an innovative, socially integrated and sustainable port.
Garden and swimming pool design
The landscape studio Aspecte Paisatge, led by Martirià Figueres, was responsible for redesigning the Club’s gardens and swimming pool.
Landscape architect Martirià Figueres gave the Club’s outdoor areas his distinctive elegance. Gardens with high landscape value, featuring white lines that connect with the pool and different relaxation areas, enhancing user comfort. A new space that, with style and elegance, connects with the Mediterranean nature.
Elegant Wetcast® benches integrated with the lines of Llosa Vulcano® paving are part of the different rest areas in the Club’s outdoor spaces.
Port d’Aro: a space for art
The exhibition by artist Teresa Riba is showcased in the Club’s Members’ Lounge. A display where each sculpture has its own personality, character and expression. Through her work, the artist explores emotions such as fear, play, hope, childhood, dialogue and silence.
A Blue Flag-certified club
It is important to highlight that Club Nàutic Port d’Aro has been awarded the Blue Flag, a quality certification granted by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). This international distinction recognises the Club’s services and quality, as well as its commitment and responsibility towards the environment.
