The Andorra Fire Station is a strategic infrastructure designed to guarantee a rapid and effective response to emergency situations, concentrating the operational, logistical, and coordination activities of the fire brigade. The complex is organized into large outdoor and indoor surfaces designed to withstand intensive use, featuring circulation, maneuvering, and parking areas for heavy vehicles that require high-resistance and durable technical solutions.
In this context, Tegula®-tec has been incorporated across the entire surface of the station, both in the outdoor spaces and the indoor areas intended for the circulation and maneuvering of fire trucks. This choice meets the high mechanical demands of daily use, where constant acceleration, braking, and turning of heavy vehicles are part of the facility’s regular operations.
The Tegula®-tec paver maintains the urban aesthetics of traditional paving stones, but incorporates a horizontal and vertical interlocking system between pieces that guarantees maximum pavement stability. Thanks to this technology, the pavement effectively absorbs shear loads, prevents displacements and deformations, and ensures a continuous, safe, and functional surface in the long term.
The result is a robust and reliable pavement, fully integrated into the design of the complex, which supports the operations of the Central Fire Station of the Principality of Andorra and contributes to the efficiency, safety, and durability of an essential space for public service.
