The landscape has no staircase; everything depends on one’s own perception.
According to Martirià Figueras, a single landscape contains multiple landscapes, and one only needs to be willing to perceive and interpret them in an open and transversal way, to the point of truly feeling them. This perspective allows the generation of endless creative processes every day, working at different scales.
Ultimately, the best outcome is seeing how people identify sensations, integrate into the designed spaces, and enjoy them. This is, without a doubt, the greatest personal pleasure as a landscape architect.

CALMA is inspired by simplicity and by the comfort of being a piece that becomes part of the landscape. The result is a design with simple, ergonomic lines and a permeable aesthetic, achieving a practical, economical, and sustainable solution. The CALMA bench is discreet and adaptable to a wide variety of environments, from small urban spaces to parks surrounded by nature.

Technical advisor to various public administrations in the fields of landscape architecture, environment, and urban space design in different municipalities, working as an agricultural engineer and landscape architect.
Calma wooden bench
The Calma is a classic bench with elegant lines. A solid bench made of tropical wood and steel, presented as a neutral element prepared for almost any public environment. A moment of rest and calm that provides comfort through this product line, which includes benches, chairs, stools, and tables. 
Composition
Wood
Wood is a durable, strong, and warm material that can be combined with any environment. Contrary to common belief, the use of wood has no harmful effects when supported by sustainable forest management practices.
Steel
Steel is a material resistant to impact, weather, and deformation. The parts are welded together for total strength and longevity. Steel is 100% recyclable without loss of quality.
Oil
Solvent-free, water-based protective products are used; they do not form a surface film, preserving the natural appearance, tones, and grain of the wood. 
Installation
Position and screw the wooden slats onto the steel structure.
Fix the element to the pavement using four M10 threaded rods.

Maintenance
No functional maintenance is required unless the original wood color is to be preserved.
Wood surfaces treated with oil naturally tend to turn grey over time, depending on the environmental conditions of the installation site.
The formation of a grey patina is a natural protective reaction of the wood against atmospheric agents and does not affect the product’s quality.
However, this effect can be reduced through periodic re-oiling.
