Eliseu Guillamon

Agricultural technical engineer and AEP landscape architect. Specialized in the planning, design, and management of public parks and gardens based on sustainability and efficiency criteria. He is also a technician in the design and construction of unique gardens for family, community, or corporate use. He carries out studies on unique trees or trees of local interest, as well as ecological restoration projects, especially in river and forest environments. From water harvesting, natural swimming pools, ponds, basins, and lakes, to their biological purification and reuse.

Parque de les Veles in Calella (Barcelona)

The old athletics tracks that had been disused for years have given way to the new Parque de les Veles in Calella. The intervention consisted of the comprehensive improvement of the space between the municipal cemetery, the nautical club, and the football field, an area of 3,321 square meters. A promenade has been refurbished, paved with pavers that link the end of the Manuel Puigvert promenade with the curve on the cemetery side.

The new Park features a children’s play area, specifically 4 games shaped like boats, which offer a unified theme around the sea, and gym equipment has also been installed.

The most innovative aspect of the park is the area featuring the ornamental fountain with interactive ground jets distributed across the floor, which allow visitors to cool off and play. The fountains act as a play zone, equipped with ground-level jets that push water upwards at different intensities, causing the water streams to change height.

Along the pathway, landscaped spaces have been installed, created with a specific selection of beach and native plant species, enclosed by a fence of vertical wooden posts. Breinco has collaborated on the works of Parque de les Veles with its Llosa Vulcano paving, Terana Light paver, and Superstep step unit.

Llosa Vulcano Paving

The end of the Paseo de Mar is now a charming place thanks to the Llosa Vulcano 30x10x8 cm paving in ivory and corten colors. The finish of the Llosa Vulcano is slightly textured with an invisible anti-stain protection that enhances the color. The use of granitic aggregate in its manufacturing ensures its durability and a good appearance over time. It is highly resistant to wear and abrasion. It does not alter, burn, or change color with solar radiation. It withstands well the temperature changes between day and night. It complies with class 3 Rd>45 UNE EN 12633 for maximum slip-resistant safety.  

Terana Light Paver and Superstep Step

The paving of the ornamental fountain with interactive jets is crafted with the Terana Light paver. Terana Light is a traditional rectangular paver with well-defined lines, its shape, and its flat surface. A simple yet classic paver that creates a harmonious environment with a great potential for expression. This paver has been laid on a mortar base with water-impermeable sealed joints.

The steps connecting the fountain and the park entrance have been solved with the Superstep unit. A practical and easy-to-install element measuring 1.20×0.40×0.15 cm.
