In the remodeling of Boulevard Aubanel, in Miramas, the transformation of an urban axis into a multifunctional linear park is proposed, acting as a new entrance to the city. The project converts a space previously dominated by traffic into a pedestrian-friendly route, where landscape, play, and rest integrate into a sustainable and contemporary environment.
Along the boulevard, the design articulates a sequence of distinct environments: a central plaza conceived as a meeting point and a space for temporary activities, play areas integrated into the landscape, educational gardens dedicated to biodiversity, and open areas designed for events and celebrations. The entire complex is completed by a linear garden that accompanies the visitor toward the urban center, reinforcing the connection between city and nature.
In this project, Llosa Miramas is incorporated, a triangular slab that defines the identity of the pedestrian pavement. Its geometry allows for the creation of dynamic and expressive compositions, playing with color and floor patterns to reinterpret the water reflections of the nearby canal. The result is a continuous, elegant, and visually powerful surface that brings character to the public space.
In addition to its aesthetic value, Llosa Miramas contributes to the project’s sustainability thanks to its Air-Clean® decontaminating property, helping to reduce atmospheric pollution, and the use of light tones that help decrease the heat island effect. Its technical design guarantees stability, durability, and excellent performance in intensive-use pedestrian areas.
The Boulevard Aubanel thus establishes itself as a benchmark urban space, where architecture, landscape, and pavement work together to offer a vibrant, sustainable environment designed for people.
