Can Alemany, a historic farmhouse converted into an apartment hotel, is located in a privileged natural environment in Santa Margarida de Montbui. The project combines respect for heritage, contemporary architecture, and a firm commitment to sustainability, creating a welcoming and balanced space.
The access to the estate and the outdoor paths have been resolved using Tegula® Light, used in entrances, pathways, and driveways. This paving solution allows for a natural integration with the landscape, organizing the routes and guiding the visitor from their arrival, under the presence of a centenary tree that acts as a symbolic welcoming element.
In the swimming pool area and its surroundings, Llosa Vulcano® Pool has been used—a piece of high aesthetic value and optimal performance for intensive-use outdoor spaces. Its non-slip, heat-resistant, and low-maintenance surface brings comfort and safety, while its color and texture dialogue with the architecture and the natural environment, creating a serene and harmonious atmosphere for the guests.
The rehabilitation of Can Alemany responds to bioclimatic architecture criteria, featuring low-consumption installations and the use of renewable energies such as geothermal, biomass, and photovoltaic energy. The project promotes responsible tourism by relying on local suppliers and reducing environmental impact, without compromising comfort or spatial quality.
The result is a sustainable and memorable space, where the outdoor paving fulfills both a technical and aesthetic function, helping to define the identity of the place, respecting its history, and projecting it into the future.
