Casa de la Vila in Sant Pere de Ribes is a building of great historical and heritage value, whose origins date back to 1727.
The rehabilitation and expansion project encompasses three buildings: the Casa de la Vila, the Can Riba building, and an annexed municipal building incorporated during the execution of the works. The intervention was carried out in different phases, highlighting the comprehensive rehabilitation of the first two floors of the main building, structural reinforcement, the functional redistribution of spaces, and the improvement of energy efficiency—all under criteria of sustainability, material reuse, and respect for the original identity of the complex.
In the outdoor area, the project includes the creation of new entrances and the urbanization of the spaces surrounding the building, configuring a new rear square that improves urban connectivity and accessibility to the municipal complex.
For the paving of the outdoor zones, main entrances, and perimeter areas, Llosa Vulcano® has been incorporated—a high-resistance solution with chromatic stability, especially suitable for public spaces with intensive use. Its uniform and elegant finish helps reinforce the building’s institutional character, providing visual continuity and a contemporary image in dialogue with the historical architecture.
The result is a renovated, functional, and accessible architectural complex, where the integration of Breinco’s high-performance materials contributes to enhancing the heritage, adapting it to current needs without compromising its original identity.
