The Castelldefels Promenade project is conceived as an urban intervention that reinforces the relationship between the city and the seafront, integrating the pedestrian path into the natural beach landscape while promoting an open, continuous, and accessible experience.

The pavement of the promenade is resolved through the incorporation of Gran Llosa Vulcano®, a large-format paving system specifically designed for wide urban spaces. Its dimensions allow for a clean and orderly visual reading, providing a sense of spaciousness and continuity that accompanies the path along the sea.

The integration of color into the landscape plays a fundamental role in the project, helping to soften the transition between the urban and natural environments, and reinforcing the promenade’s identity as a space for gathering and enjoyment. The use of large-format pavement reduces visual fragmentation and enhances a clear and contemporary layout, aligned with the new demands of urban design.

Gran Llosa Vulcano® responds to the growing need for large-dimension pavements for pedestrian zones and areas with occasional light traffic, offering a solution that combines resistance, durability, and high aesthetic value. Its application on the Castelldefels Promenade reinforces the character of the public space, creating a comfortable, functional, and visually harmonious environment designed for daily use and the enjoyment of the coastal landscape.
