Mas Albereda is a small, charming hotel located in Sant Julià de Vilatorta, nestled between the Pyrenees and the Montseny, in the heart of the Plana de Vic. Its rural and family-friendly setting invites guests to enjoy tranquility, nature, and an authentic experience in contact with local history and culture.
The farmhouse, already documented in 1337, preserves more than seven centuries of history within its walls, in its oven, the well, and its portals. Every corner, every room, lounge, or dining area reflects exceptional care for architecture and constructive details, offering unique and exclusive spaces that combine tradition with contemporary comfort.
In this project, we incorporated the Tegula® art paver, with its aged finish that evokes natural stone, providing aesthetic continuity and resistance in transit areas and garden spaces. For areas where direct contact with vegetation is desired, the +Rasen-Mohr® system has been applied, which combines any size of paver or slab with biodegradable wood spacers.
The Rasen-Mohr® spacers create joints that are filled with gravel and topsoil to allow for grass growth. Once the roots have established themselves, the paved surfaces can occasionally support light vehicles without losing their integration with the natural environment. This solution allows for the differentiation of pedestrian zones from areas that permit light traffic, maintaining both aesthetics and functionality throughout the entire complex.
The result is a hotel where history, architecture, and sustainability combine with outdoor spaces designed for enjoyment, comfort, and harmony with nature, offering a unique, elegant, and functional rural environment.
