The PMaritime Promenade of Gran Palmas, in the Canary Islands, has been renovated to optimize pedestrian accessibility and safety, especially along the beach access sections and connecting stairs to the coastline. In these areas, Tactile Crossing pavements have been incorporated, including longitudinal bands and tactile warning elements, positioned before stairs, ramps, and accesses to high-traffic zones.
These pavements offer clear sensory information for visually impaired individuals or those with cognitive difficulties, guaranteeing safe and comfortable transit. Their integration combines functionality and aesthetics, respecting the coastal environment and reinforcing inclusion in one of the city’s most emblematic promenades.
