Located in the heart of Centelles, Plaça Catalunya has been renovated with the aim of revitalizing the urban space and turning it into a dynamic, accessible, and welcoming meeting point for residents. The project focuses on an intervention that is respectful of its surroundings, where design, functionality, and the quality of materials combine to create a high-quality aesthetic public space for everyday use.
The intervention seeks to reinforce the traditional character of the square, enhancing accessibility and the comfort of pedestrian routes, as well as the integration of gathering and strolling areas. The paving plays a key role in defining the space, providing visual continuity, order, and a warm, inviting image.
To achieve this, Tegula® six has been incorporated, a solution that combines a rectangular paver with a high-quality decorative rustic finish. In this project, a combination of four tones —Mediterráneo, Ceniza, Grey, and Corten— has been used, creating a balanced chromatic play that adds visual richness, dynamism, and depth to the site, while maintaining a harmonious and timeless aesthetic.
Tegula® six is particularly well-suited for access paths, promenades, and courtyards with pedestrian traffic and light loads, ensuring a comfortable, resistant, and durable surface. Its 90º layout reinforces the traditional appearance of the paving, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, integrating naturally into the urban environment.
The result is a renovated, organized, and welcoming public space that enhances the social and urban life of Centelles, offering a contemporary square with a strong bond to its historical and architectural identity.
