The redevelopment of the northern section of the Rambla de la Girada in Vilafranca del Penedès transforms this thoroughfare into a green urban corridor that prioritizes active mobility, fosters social cohesion, and maximizes the permeability of the space through responsible water management strategies. The project establishes differentiated zones for pedestrians and seating areas, integrating vegetation, trees, and permeable pavements that allow for a sustainable and comfortable use of the public space, connecting the rambla with the Park over the railway cover and other nearby neighborhoods.

In this context, VS5® pavers have been incorporated in the strips near the facades, ensuring a stable pavement thanks to their vertical spacers and lower grooves that prevent horizontal displacement and guarantee safety against traffic. For areas requiring greater permeability and water absorption, Llosa Filtra® has been used, a permeable pavement that increases water infiltration, ensures optimal structural support, and maintains the natural aesthetics of the corridor. The combination of VS5® and Llosa Filtra® allows for the creation of a resistant, functional, and comfortable rambla, where pedestrian traffic develops safely, rainwater is managed efficiently, and the urban experience is enriched with a visually attractive and ecologically responsible environment.
