A welcoming space that combines nature, entertainment, and sustainability

The new Plaza del Jardín at Tibidabo Amusement Park redefines the entrance to this iconic Barcelona landmark. The intervention serves as a threshold between the park, the Collserola mountain, and the city, providing visitors with an open, contemporary space from which to enjoy one of Barcelona’s most privileged views.

The project integrates solidarity, sustainability, and education as its core concepts, reflecting the park’s guiding philosophy. This new public space not only welcomes visitors but also serves as a gathering place for celebrations, cultural activities, and outdoor events.

The standout feature is the large vertical garden that envelops the entrance building. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this green surface serves both an environmental and symbolic purpose: it minimizes the visual impact of the structure, improves air quality, and conveys a clear message of commitment to the natural surroundings.

This initiative is further strengthened by the inclusion of the largest insect hotel in Barcelona, positioning the park as a key reference for ecological awareness and the preservation of local biodiversity. In this way, Tibidabo is established not only as a leisure destination but also as a benchmark for environmental education.

Breinco contributed to the project by providing the paving for the entire site, designed to blend seamlessly with the natural landscape while maintaining a warm and welcoming aesthetic.

The circulation and gathering areas are paved with Terana Six pavers, whose texture and staggered layout evoke a traditional atmosphere with a contemporary finish. Complementing this, the Llosa Vulcano® provides visual continuity and a warm tone that contrasts with the surrounding vegetation and the park’s vibrant character.

The result is a lively and welcoming plaza where urban design, nature, and environmental awareness coexist in harmony.
