A welcoming space that combines nature, entertainment, and sustainability
Tibidabo Park, located at the top of the Collserola mountain, has undergone an intervention that connects its walkways, transit areas, and gathering spaces, creating a continuous route that integrates nature, leisure, and accessibility. The project strengthens the relationship between the park, the city, and the landscape, offering visitors open, safe spaces designed to enjoy the light, air, and views of Barcelona.
It combines solidarity, sustainability, and education as conceptual pillars, reflecting the park’s philosophy. This new public space not only welcomes visitors but also becomes a meeting place for celebrations, cultural activities, and outdoor events.
The most prominent element is the large vertical garden that clads the entrance building. More than just an aesthetic gesture, this green surface fulfills both an environmental and symbolic function: it reduces the visual impact of the construction, improves air quality, and conveys a clear message of commitment to the natural environment.
Tibidabo consolidates itself not only as a leisure space but also as a benchmark for environmental education.
The circulation and gathering areas are paved with Terana Six pavers, whose texture and staggered layout evoke a traditional atmosphere with a contemporary finish. Complementing this, the Llosa Vulcano® provides visual continuity and a warm tone that contrasts with the surrounding vegetation and the park’s vibrant character.
The intervention transforms the pavements into an active element of the space, guiding routes, reinforcing accessibility, and generating comfortable seating areas. Every walk and every transit zone becomes an immersive experience where design, sustainability, and well-being are in balance, transforming Tibidabo Park into a benchmark for urban innovation and respect for the natural environment.
