Delta Business Center is a contemporary office building located in Viladecans, within the natural environment of the Llobregat Delta. The project, developed by PichArchitects, is based on a clear idea: to create a functional, flexible, and sustainable building that dialogues with the landscape and enhances the daily experience of its users.
The building is elevated on stilts, freeing up the ground and preserving the vegetation. This architectural gesture responds to environmental and urban criteria: it promotes ecological continuity, improves natural rainwater management, and generates outdoor transition spaces that provide climatic comfort.
Each floor incorporates terraces and outdoor spaces that function as a natural extension of the offices. These open areas promote the well-being of the users, social interaction, and constant contact with natural light, air, and the landscape. The building is thus experienced as a continuous sequence of interiors and exteriors, where working, meeting, or resting forms part of the same spatial experience.
The offices are organized as open and flexible spaces, prepared to adapt to future changes in use. The abundant entry of natural light, cross ventilation, and open views create a healthy and comfortable work environment, aligned with contemporary criteria of sustainability and well-being.
In this project, the rooftops take on a fundamental role. On different levels of the building, the Llosa Infinity has been incorporated into the walkable roofs, transforming them into accessible, safe, and fully usable spaces. This inverted roof system integrates thermal insulation and the surface finish into a single piece, providing comfort, stability, and a polished architectural image.
The use of the Infinity Slab allows the rooftops to function as an extension of the work and social spaces, expanding the outdoor lounging areas and reinforcing the flexible nature of the building. Its performance regarding water drainage, temperature fluctuations, and continuous use contributes to the overall durability and the reduction of maintenance, aligning with the project’s sustainability goals.
The Delta Business Center thus presents itself as an example of contemporary office architecture, where design, efficiency, and respect for the environment are coherently integrated. It is a building designed for both the present and the future, understanding architecture as a tool to improve well-being, optimize resources, and create long-term value.
