The urban promenade in Sant Joan Despí has been renovated with the aim of improving accessibility, safety, and the quality of public space, creating fluid and pleasant pedestrian zones, as well as streets and avenues that facilitate the occasional traffic of light vehicles.
In this project, Rasen-Mohr® integrated with Llosa Vulcano® has been incorporated, generating a versatile pavement that combines green areas with hard surfaces of great visual presence. The biodegradable wooden spacers of Rasen-Mohr® create joints that are filled with grass and topsoil, allowing the roots to settle naturally. This solution guarantees that the grass areas are resistant to occasional light vehicular traffic and maintain the natural aesthetics of the environment. The Llosa Vulcano® provides uniformity, resistance, and an elegant finish in pedestrian traffic areas and squares, perfectly complementing the Rasen-Mohr® system.
The result is a harmonious and functional urban space, where the combination of grass, wooden spacers, pavers, and Llosa Vulcano® reinforces the promenade’s identity, offering a comfortable, aesthetic, and sustainable experience for both residents and visitors.
