The former Monte Tossal skatepark

The Monte Tossal Park is an urban park in the city of Alicante.  It is located right in the city center, next to San Fernando Castle.  Among the park’s multiple sports facilities, we find the Skatepark, which dates back to the 1990s. The former skatepark was laid out across several terraces with two independent elements: the bowl and the halfpipe. A pedestrian area surrounds the skatepark, connecting these terraces.

Specific modifications to the skatepark facilities

Rehabilitation of ramps, metal protections, and new obstacles: these have been the main modifications made to the new skatepark.  Likewise, access points to the different levels of the skatepark have been improved, as they will guarantee accessibility conditions for all types of users and companions.  The project has also included the renewal of the paving, furniture, and urban trees. Similarly, other inclusive urban planning interventions stand out, such as:

  • The reorganization of seating and gathering areas
  •

  • The construction of an elevated viewpoint
  •

  • The creation of new shaded areas through the installation of pergolas
  •

  • The creation of an accessible route from Escultor Bañuls Street

Materials used for the Skatepark remodeling

Vulcano Slab 60 x 40 x 5 cm

slab, llosa, paving
Vulcano Slab
A chromatic slab for paving locations where urban grey has no place.  A meticulously engineered slab designed to guarantee a product of exceptional durability and long-lasting color stability over time.  The VULCANO SLAB is suitable for paving surfaces intended for public squares, sidewalks, and building entrances: pedestrian zones or occasional light vehicle traffic, always provided that the thickness and installation of the pieces are appropriate.

Terana® Six Paver 20 x 10 x 6cm

Terana® Six Paver
The Terana®  six paver is the perfect combination of a rectangular paver with a rustic finish of high decorative quality, characteristic of the TEGULA / TERANA range.  TEGULA / TERANA SIX is ideal for residential driveways, walkways, and courtyards where traffic loads are minor. The combination of soft colors and the 90º pattern layout provides a perfect traditional appearance.

SUPERSTEP® 60 x 40 x 15 cm

Superstep Step
The SUPERSTEP step is a monolithic piece with a small 0.70 cm bevel, ideal for stairs in parks, common areas, and commercial zones. It is both a decorative and functional product.  The SUPERSTEP piece features a smooth exposed surface that brings color to the staircase, forming steps with a comfortable 40cm tread and a 15cm riser.  It is manufactured with high-quality concrete, offering great durability and requiring no subsequent maintenance.
