The set is designed by installing printed paving slabs in a space, which form a play area and are, in turn, connected through QR codes and images with a mobile application, generating different shapes in augmented reality. This project is a proposal by Breinco and Urbanenjoy, to bring augmented reality technology into public spaces. One of the advantages of Breincosmartplay technology is that it offers the possibility of customising each game according to the needs of the space and the creativity of the designer.
Augmented reality in public spaces
More and more municipalities are choosing to create technological spaces for public use. It is important to take into account technological progress and especially the access we all have to mobile devices, without forgetting traditional games of a lifetime. Breincosmartplay provides the possibility of combining both aspects and in this way guarantees fun for all types of audiences, with families being the main beneficiaries. At the end of 2020, the municipality of Lloret de Mar created an interactive Breincosmartplay space in Plaça Pere Torrent, located in the centre of Lloret de Mar. In November 2021, it joined the modernisation of one of its most emblematic and historic streets, the town of Malgrat de Mar, and just one month ago, the municipality of Espartinas (Seville) also opted to incorporate technology into its public spaces, starting with the creation of a Breincosmartplay play area in its Plaza del Avión.
Augmented reality in the streets of Espartinas
The Ayuntamiento de Espartinas (Seville) and Breincosmartplay inaugurated a new play space in Plaza del Avión in Espartinas. The space has been a complete success, as constant group interaction can be observed between adults and children. This new area is outdoors and available for anyone to enjoy.
Malgrat de Mar embraces BreincosmartPlay technology
The Malgrat de Mar City Council, at the end of 2021, decided to give a technological touch to its traditional streets and installed a Breincosmartplay augmented reality space in the Peixeteries Velles area. This new environment, designed for children but also for anyone who enjoys experimenting with new ways of playing, offers a mix of fun and tradition thanks to the magic of augmented reality.
